Cops nab 'Superman Hew'
Police have arrested DAP-linked speaker Hew Kuan Yew, believed to be over his racially charged speech during the election campaign.
"I will be taken to Raub tonight. Please arrange a lawyer," Hew, better known as "Superman Hew" among DAP supporters, said on his Facebook page.
Hew was seen in a video clip urging the Chinese community to exploit the disunity among Malays by giving them a "knockout punch" at the general election.
"Now let the Malays who want Malay supremacy, the head-wrapped Malays who want Islamic supremacy, meaning those PAS b******ds," he was heard addressing a Pakatan Harapan ceramah in Cantonese.
Hew has admitted to giving the speech but claimed he had been misinterpreted.
