Resident Husin Muhammad loads his bicycle with frozen curry puffs which he sells around the neighbourhood each day.
He sells his curry puffs wherever he happens to come across a customer, even at the side of the road.
Meanwhile, Zubaidah Ismail waits for customers at her fruit stall in Kampung Manjoi Baru. The stall is all that she has to keep afloat since her husband died of cancer eight months ago.
Elsewhere in Manjoi, customers enjoy a meal at a breakfast 'warung'. Such eateries form the bulk of small businesses in the settlement.
