The new chief minister of Sabah is scheduled to be sworn in at 10.30am tomorrow.

According to the Sabah Information Department, the ceremony will be held at Istana Negeri Sabah, at Jalan Istana in Kota Kinabalu.

Yesterday, Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Bung Moktar Radin was reported as saying that Sabah Yang Dipertua Negeri Juhar Mahiruddin had asked for more time to decide on the new chief minister.

Earlier, Bung with Sabah Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Hajiji Noor, STAR president Jeffrey Kitingan and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) secretary-general Jahid Jahim held an hour-long meeting with Juhar at the palace.

In the Sabah state election on Saturday, the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah coalition comprising PN, BN and PBS secured 38 seats compared to 32 by Warisan Plus. The remaining three were won by independent candidates.
