PKR president Anwar Ibrahim says he has been granted an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Oct 13, three weeks after he claimed he had the majority support of MPs to topple the present government.

“During the audience, I will present complete details on the formidable and convincing majority of MPs as I have said earlier,” the Port Dickson MP said in a statement.

On Sept 23, Anwar called for an urgent press conference at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur, declaring that Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s government had fallen and claiming to have a “formidable” majority of MPs behind him.

However, he declined to give specific numbers or names, saying he would only do so when he meets the Agong.
