Parents who have to cross district or state lines to send their children to school are not required to obtain permission from the police.

Senior Minister for Security Ismail Sabri Yaakob said they only need to show a letter issued by the school at police roadblocks.

“For example, if the students are returning to their hostel, the teachers could have issued them a letter, allowing them to cross district or state lines,” he said at a news conference on the movement control order (MCO) developments today.

Ismail also said the matter had been discussed with top officers in the force with police contingents nationwide informed as well.
