Cops offer up to 50% discount for summonses settled online

Police have introduced an app and online portal to allow those issued compounds or summonses to pay their fines directly online.

Through the MyBayar Saman portal and app, to be launched by top cop Abdul Hamid Bador this afternoon, users can view their summonses and make payments with just a few clicks.

Police are also offering an introductory 50% discount on summonses paid through either the portal (mybayar.rmp.gov.my) or the app, available on Google PlayStore and Apple Store, from today until April 11, subject to terms and conditions.

This comes in the wake of an increase in maximum compound amount issued for violations of Covid-19 SOPs from RM1,000 to RM10,000.

Those fined for breach of SOPs are also eligible for a 50% discount if the compound is paid within a week of the date of issue, and a 25% discount if it is paid in two weeks.
