After 2 days below, daily cases cross 6,000 mark again

Cases in Selangor hit 2,291.

Another 6,239 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 633,891.

Selangor recorded 2,291 cases, Kuala Lumpur 704, Negeri Sembilan 507, Johor 468, Sarawak 419, Kelantan 340, Sabah and Pahang 232 each, Labuan 200, Penang 194, Perak 175, Terengganu 171, Melaka 150 and Kedah 135.

Putrajaya recorded 17 cases and Perlis four.

Active cases stand at 81,575 with 905 in the ICU and 453 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 7,386 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 548,705.

However, 75 more deaths were reported, pushing the virus toll to 3,611.
