5,793 new cases, 76 deaths including 101-year-old

8,334 recoveries, over 900 still in ICU.

Another 5,793 Covid-19 cases were recorded today, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 652,204.

Selangor recorded 1,582 cases, Negeri Sembilan 618, Sarawak 569, Kuala Lumpur 559, Johor 504, Sabah 378, Kelantan 337, Labuan 250, Perak 218, Penang 198, Melaka 178, Kedah 171 and Pahang 121.

Terengganu recorded 82 cases, Putrajaya 23 and Perlis five.

Active cases stand at 76,247 with 914 in the ICU and 459 in need of respiratory assistance.

Another 8,334 patients were discharged, bringing total recoveries to 572,113.

However, 76 more deaths were reported, including a 101-year-old woman in Selangor who died at Hospital Sungai Buloh, pushing the virus toll to 3,844.
