Sarawak Chief Minister Abang Johari Openg today said Sarawakians are not interested in the political developments in the peninsula.

Instead, he said, political leaders should focus on efforts to mitigate the Covid-19 crisis.

Abang Johari, who is chairman of GPS, also reiterated the state’s support for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.

He said this was especially to ensure the country’s stability at this juncture.

“I already stated our stand yesterday, that we will continue to support the prime minister,” he said when met in Kapit.

“You know, we here in Sarawak are busy with the vaccination programme. Let us focus on the country’s problems. What is most important is to help the people,” he said.

“Like us here, we come to visit rural villages to see how the vaccination programme is doing.

“Sarawak people do not want to know about these things.”
