Over 23 million jabs given, 24.5% of population fully vaccinated

Just over 46% have received a first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

A total of 23,161,255 vaccine doses had been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme as of yesterday.

Health Minister Dr Adham Baba said 15,162,424 doses were administered as first doses, and 7,998,831 doses as second doses.

“According to percentage, 46.4% of the country’s population have received a first dose and 24.5% have completed both doses of vaccine,” he said.

In terms of daily vaccination rate, 514,674 doses were administered yesterday with 220,839 doses given to first-dose recipients and 293,835 as second doses.
