Over 29% of population, 40% of adults fully vaccinated

A total of 25,863,563 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered so far.

A total of 25,863,563 doses of Covid-19 vaccine had been dispensed through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) as of yesterday.

Health Minister Dr Adham Baba said 16,347,422 doses were administered to first-dose recipients and 9,516,141 as second doses.

“According to percentage, 50.1% of the country’s population have received a first dose, while 29.1% have completed both doses of Covid-19 vaccine,” he said.

As of yesterday, 69.8% of the adult population had received a first dose of vaccine while 40.7% had completed both doses.

In terms of daily vaccination rate, a total of 497,352 doses were administered yesterday, of which 227,506 were first doses and 269,846 were given to second-dose recipients.
