Nearly 33% of population, 46% of adults fully vaccinated

A total of 27,810,855 doses of vaccine have been administered so far.

Some 32.9% of the country’s population, or 10,734,415 people, had completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccine as of yesterday, says Health Minister Dr Adham Baba.

He said 17,076,440 people or 52.3% had received a first dose.

This brings the cumulative number of vaccine shots dispensed under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme as of yesterday to 27,810,855 doses.

A total of 72.9% of the adult population had received a first dose as of yesterday while 45.9% had completed both doses.

In terms of the daily vaccination rate, 415,875 doses of vaccine were administered yesterday with 143,671 for first-dose recipients and 272,204 as second doses.
