Daily caseload dips to 2,200 as 3 more deaths reported

Active cases have risen past 30,000 again, with 96% undergoing home quarantine.

Another 2,239 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,478,112.

There were 1,263 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,411,762.

There are now 30,735 active cases, of which 29,516 or 96.0% are undergoing home quarantine.

Meanwhile, four (0.0%) are at quarantine centres while 1,170 (3.8%) have been hospitalised.

A total of 45 are in ICU with 23 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 56.3%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 7.3%.

Another three deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,615.
