New infections at 5,330 as 10 more deaths reported

Another 5,330 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,692,800.

There were 3,075 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,610,282.

There are now 46,523 active cases, of which 44,885 or 96.5% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 29 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,560 (3.4%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 49 are in ICU with 34 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 62.8%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 13.0%.

Another 10 deaths were reported, including one who was brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 35,995.
