Daily caseload just over 2,000 as 10 more deaths logged

Another 2,078 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 4,759,830.

There were 3,290 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,685,979.

There are now 37,696 active cases, of which 36,187 or 96.0% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 31 (0.1%) are at quarantine centres while 1,409 (3.7%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of 69 are in ICU with 39 in need of respiratory assistance. ICU utilisation throughout the country stands at 61.5%, with Covid ICU utilisation at 18.5%.

Another 10 deaths were reported, including three who were brought in dead. Total deaths now stand at 36,155.
