Bersatu deputy president Ahmad Faizal Azumu today asked if DAP would be given the finance ministry portfolio once more if Pakatan Harapan (PH) forms the government after the Nov 19 polls.

Citing reports that Lim Guan Eng, who was made finance minister after PH's victory at the 2018 general election, had blocked RM400 million in funds for Teraju, the unit set up to empower the Bumiputera economy, he said the matter was surprising and worrying.

"Why are PH and Anwar Ibrahim remaining silent on such an important matter that involves the Bumiputera economy?" he said in a statement.

"Until today, not a single leader from PH, Lim, or Anwar has been brave enough to respond to the disclosure made by former minister Mohamed Azmin Ali. The people have a right to know."

Azmin, the economic affairs minister under the PH administration, had said that his claim could be proven as the decision was made in writing.

MalaysiaNow is attempting to reach Lim for a response. Lim's former aide Tony Pua, meanwhile, when contacted about Teraju, said: "We never blocked anything."
