Perikatan Nasional (PN) today launched its manifesto for the 15th general election, themed “Prihatin, Bersih, Stabil”, promising a stable, caring and corruption-free government for the people’s well-being and towards the building of an inclusive society.
PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin said the manifesto contained 12 core issues and 30 approaches with 234 offers designed to achieve the goal of “Malaysia Gemilang”.
“PN’s offers are to defend the constitution, uphold Islam as the religion of the federation, and protect the rights of all races,” he said in his speech at Shah Alam tonight.
Also present at the event were Gerakan president Dominic Lau and PN information chief Mohamed Azmin Ali.
Muhyiddin also said that a commission would be formed, comprising the related experts, to monitor and ensure the implementation of PN’s election vows.
Among the 12 core issues in the manifesto are the establishment of a competitive economy, an increase in the people’s quality of life, clean politics and administrations.
Also included are efforts to uplift the Bumputera, Orang Asli and all other races, drive regional development, preserve the environment and encourage tourism, empower the youth, optimise the potential of women, build up and prosper the elderly, empower the disabled community, boost the well-being of Felda settlers, and transform farmers, livestock breeders and fishermen.
