No surprise strikes please, health minister says
Dr Zaliha Mustafa says health workers should meet her face-to-face instead.
Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa has urged public health sector workers against involvement in unannounced strikes, saying these will not help solve any problems.
In a video on TikTok, she urged them to meet her face-to-face to find proper solutions.
"I actually understand very well the problem. My background is that of a doctor, that’s why I understand and I am determined to solve this problem, if possible today.
"But we must understand that it will take me some time to understand the issues deeper so that the best solution can be found," she said.
Zaliha also asked health workers to think more maturely.
"Insha Allah, we can meet face-to-face and eventually solve this problem together and everyone will benefit from it," she said.
