Developments in negotiations between the health ministry and MySJ Sdn Bhd over the purchase of the MySejahtera application will be among the matters raised at the Dewan Rakyat sitting today.

According to the order paper, the question will be asked by Dr Kelvin Yii (PH-Bandar Kuching) to the health ministry in the oral question and answer session. Yii will also ask about the ministry's plans to optimise the use of the application.

Meanwhile, Sh Mohmed Puzi Sh Ali (BN-Pekan) will ask the home minister about proactive and progressive solutions to overcome the congestion at the immigration department in connection with passport-related matters.

Sh Mohmed will also ask if the ministry has plans to reinstate the walk-in passport application process at the immigration office instead of relying only on online applications, and to abolish the daily quota system for passport applications.

Azli Yusof (PH-Shah Alam) will ask the human resources minister to state the government's initiatives to help gig economy workers, in addition to the challenges in providing or mandating insurance coverage for the sector.

The debate on the Supply Bill 2023 is also expected to take place following the question and answer session.

On Feb 24, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim tabled Budget 2023 with an allocation of RM388.1 billion, with RM289.1 billion for operating expenditure and RM99 billion for development including RM2 billion in contingency funds.
