PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man today urged MPs to focus on more important issues instead of prolonging the discussion on the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's royal address which he previously said had been prepared by the government.

Tuan Ibrahim, the MP for Kubang Kerian, said he had already clarified what he described as a misunderstanding over the matter.

"I think there is no need to dwell on this because we have many important issues to discuss.

"So I think if there was a mistake, I apologise and we should move on to more important matters for the interests of the people," he said in the Dewan Rakyat.

Jelutong MP RSN Rayer had asked for a ruling on the matter which sparked an uproar in the House on Feb 21.

Tuan Ibrahim had asked why the value of justice was not included in the royal address, saying it should be raised by the king in Parliament as well and not only in documents outside of Parliament.

"It should have been included in his speech as this was already formulated (by the government)," he said.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul said discussions on the matter had already been held several days ago.
