Issues concerning the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), aid for disaster victims, and offences involving Section 233(1) of the Communications and Multimedia Act will be the focus of today's Dewan Rakyat sitting.
According to the order paper, there will be a question from Che Alias Hamid (PN-Kemaman) to the international trade and industry minister on the ministry's stance on the CPTPP and its impact on the country's agriculture sector.
Anyi Ngau (GPS-Baram) meanwhile will ask the prime minister about the current form and value of aid channelled to victims of natural disasters such as floods and residential fires.
Syahredzan Johan (PH-Bangi) will ask the communications and digital minister about the statistics of individuals who have been investigated, charged and convicted under Section 233(1) of the Communications and Multimedia Act for obscene, inappropriate, false, threatening or nasty online messages since 2009.
And Madius Tangau (PH-Tuaran) will ask the domestic trade and cost of living minister about the increase in price of meat such as chicken and pork and measures by the ministry to reduce it.
After the question-and-answer session, the Dewan Rakyat will resume the debate session on the Supply Bill 2023 at the policy level.
