188 new infections as death toll stays unchanged

Another 188 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,043,978.

There were 181 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,997,801.

There are now 9,211 active cases, of which 8,884 or 96.4% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 325 (3.5%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of two are in ICU with none in need of respiratory assistance. 

No new deaths were reported, leaving total deaths unchanged at 36,966.
