251 new infections, death toll unchanged

Another 251 Covid-19 cases were recorded yesterday, taking total confirmed infections in the country to 5,044,969.

There were 197 recoveries, taking total recoveries to 4,998,652.

There are now 9,350 active cases, of which 9,012 or 96.4% are undergoing home quarantine. 

Meanwhile, 0 (0%) are at quarantine centres while 332 (3.6%) have been hospitalised. 

A total of six are in ICU with two in need of respiratory assistance.

No new deaths were reported, leaving the death toll unchanged at 36,967.
