Aide denies rumour on Sarawak's Taib Mahmud

The Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud is well and in good stead, according to Astana Negeri Sarawak, hence dismissing rumours about his health condition that were spreading on social media.

The governor's private secretary Junih Salleh Ahmad in a statement today said that all the viral and unverified news regarding the wellbeing of Abdul Taib, which was not from the Astana Negeri Sarawak, was completely fake and untrue.

"We hope that with this press statement, all adverse reports and rumours regarding (the health of the) Yang di-Pertua Negeri Abdul Taib Mahmud would be put to rest," he added.
