The eBeliaRahmah initiative targets Malaysian youths aged 18 to 20 and all active full-time students in IPTs in the country.

The government will be launching the eBeliaRahmah programme on June 26 to foster cashless payment and ease the financial burden of eligible youth and full-time students at institutes of higher learning (IPTs).

According to the finance ministry, youths aged 18-to-20-year-olds or full-time IPT students who qualify will receive a one-time RM200 eWallet credit.

"Eligible recipients can apply to redeem the credit from June 26, 2023, to Aug 22, 2023.

"The one-off RM200 eWallet credit can be redeemed via one of the three participating eWallet service providers, namely Boost, Setel and Touch 'n Go eWallet," the ministry said in a statement on Facebook.

The eBeliaRahmah programme is a government initiative announced under Budget 2023 by the finance ministry. The redeemed RM200 credit can be spent through offline channels and is expected to benefit two million youths in the country.
