Perikatan Nasional (PN) has promised to prioritise resolving the cost of living, inflation, and soaring prices of goods if the coalition forms the state government after the state elections on Aug 12.

PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin said the coalition will also strive to alleviate the burden faced by the people due to these conflicts immediately after the state government is formed.

He added that PN will commit to addressing other issues faced by the people, such as employment and income-related matters, as well as other problems that disrupt the daily affairs of the people, such as health, education, climate, and the environment.

"In general, it is about expediting economic recovery to create more job opportunities and provide housing for the homeless and others in need," he told reporters at the nomination centre for the Gombak parliamentary constituency today.

Muhyiddin said these matters were included in the PN's manifesto for the elections in six states, which will be launched in the near future.

The Pagoh MP said that he is confident and believes that the party's past experiences in governing the country and state have led it to nominate numerous corporate figures and professionals to be representatives of the people.
