Taiwan fired warning shots at a drone for the first time shortly after President Tsai Ing-wen ordered the military to take 'strong countermeasures' against what she termed Chinese provocations.

The offer to pay these people was in a meeting between Colin Kahl, the under secretary of defense for policy, and Steven Kwon, the founder and president of an aid group called Nutrition and Education International.

However, defense secretary declines to publicly divulge much about the plans, telling committee members he could provide more details in a closed classified session.
