Ovidio Guzman is one of El Chapo's four sons, known as 'Los Chapitos,' who inherited their father's trafficking empire after his conviction on US murder and drug charges in 2019.

Collectively known as Los Chapitos, the four siblings were once mocked by adversaries as entitled princelings more concerned with flashing their wealth than the grubby work of moving tons of cocaine into the US.

In recent months, Mexico and the US have sparred over the origins of drugs fueling the US opioid crisis.
